Pursuing their passion for the tourbillon mechanism, the founders of Bianchet embraced the vaulting challenge of developing their own flying tourbillon movement.

The ball-bearing mechanism, which allows the tourbillon to appear to float in the air, ensures that the tourbillon cage rotates with unparalleled smoothness and precision. At the same time, the movement adjustment to six positions ensures that it keeps time accurately no matter how it is positioned on the wrist. A skeletonized Grande Date complication, displaying the date in a format that is both artful and easy to read, reveals the intricacies of the calendar function.

Entirely made in Switzerland, every component of the Tourbillon B 1.618 Grande Date caliber is crafted by hand, using the finest materials and techniques available. Crafted from grade 5 titanium including the bridges of the tourbillon cage, every movement is elegantly decorated then finished by hand, and assembled in-house. The result is a timepiece that is not only incredibly beautiful to look at, but also extremely precise and reliable.
